Tatonka

Bison USDA organic Chocolate Stout. I must have gotten a non-infected batch, because I liked it pretty well, but it got RANK reviews on BeerAdvocate, with comparisons to iron, and watered down blood. Maybe their beer had real Tatonka in it. Eeew, yuck, gross.  It's a nice low 5% ABV, not sure of the IBU, but I am going to guess 20.  It's an opaque black with hints of dark brown in color, a thin tan head, low to moderate carbonation.  It smells sharp, medicinal, woody, strong dark chocolate.  It's creamy, chocolatey, very satisfying, with a hint of bitterness; it's smokey with a rich cocoa flavor.  As it warms, there's a hint of soy sauce to the scent as well as the flavor.  It does taste somewhat thin and watery as it warms.  COR: 50, Diesel 20.  We had this one in North Carolina, hence the beautiful lush background.  This was right around the time Obama was at UNC.  Not Dook, not NC State, UNC.
