Catamount Maple wheat

Catamount Maple Wheat, a Harpoons 100 Barrel Series. Alcohol by volume 6.8%, IBU 21. The appearance is a reddish coppery amber, the nose is dried apricots, dried peaches, Darrell says it smells like malt.  It tastes almost gamey like slow cooked pork or beef. It's not a very sweet beer, nor is it bitter but it has a peculiar astringency. Mild maple taste at the end. Probably a great summer beer on a hot day. It would go well with fish, or white meat, well maybe not fish, but definitely with white meat barbecue. Maybe turkey burgers. COR 10% (meh), Diesel 10.  Decent, but I wouldn't seek it again.  It's perty though.
