Mad Monk

Style: Russian Imperial Stout
Color: Black
ABV: 9%
Bitterness: 75 IBUs
Old Rasputin Imperial Stout.

The appearance is dark but not as thick as a Yeti (to which I hold very high standards).  You can see a bit of light shining through and it has a reddish highlight.  On the nose is bitterness, and bitter sweet chocolate.  The mouth feel is zingy, the carbonation is moderate.  It tastes wonderfully rich with well rounded coffee flavors and and a deep dark chocolate undertone.  It is moderately hoppy, with a mild creaminess.  There's a little kick of bitterness in the middle with a nice smooth coffee, cocoa, smoky finish. There's a soft sweetness at the top of the mouth, akin to an orange zest flavor (like an orange rind!).  When it warms, you can taste the orange at the back of the palate. Try drinking a sip after eating some chips or something else salty: it really brings out the bitterness and the tobacco aromas.

By the way, Rasputin was a douche.
